Activity009_KurnoolConcern

Hi Friends,

Good Day!

A big heap of clothes were collected yesterday in MindSpace. They were transported to YGuda in an auto where we added another heap and took them to RamNagar.

He is Mr.SuryaNarayana, working in Bank of India and also the representative of RedCross, RaghvendraMath and Sai seva sadan.

There we have discussed with him how they would take the eatables to the victims.

They will buy rice and other commodities directly from the millers and when we calculated the prices, we found more than Rs900/- difference.

So, we officially donated Rs6000 /- for the purpose but today Mr V. NukaRaju, our member, will go along with them and buy the below mentioned commodities.

Also, remaining balance of Rs999/- is used to buy medicines to them. We will get the receipts from the organization for all these.

Raju is consulting a doctor to find what are the medicines need to be given.

Also, these people concentrate on the flood affected hamlets around Kurnool town since most of the help is being dumped in the town itself.

Thanks,
SunilDutt

  1. Dear Friends,
I am happy to tell you all that what ever we have donated for Flood Victim People have reached to the really needed people.
Red Cross people have conducted a survey at various flood affected villages and identified some villages near Repalle like Oleru(This is the village which apart from Kurnool, and Mahabubnagar badly affected &where flood relief activities are very less from Govt side as well as NGO's.This village had in the news due to this in many news papers as well as in channels (e.g.Times Of India,09 th October )and you all might have seen it) and Toorpupalem and 2 Lanka Villages near by.
As Sunil already posted we have taken Food items directly from traders(As they are giving these items at a concessional rates for these cause). As they have sufficient medicines,we have not given anything towards that. All the clothes have been segregated and whatever are torn and old and which can’t be used are converted into utensils.
Mr.V.SuryaNarayana(Red Cross Member,The person through whom we have sent our donations) along with other few other people went there on 15 th October (till that time full connectivity is not being re established)till Repalle and from there through boats they reached these villages.
Each family has been given 2 sarees,2 pants,2 T-Shirts,2 towels and a Blanket as a pack.Apart from this they have given Rice ,Dall ,Sugar and utensils(Glasses,Plates Cooking items etc.,) according to the no of people in the family.
They distributed The Clothes, Rice, Sugar, and dal, utensils, blankets (Which were sponsored by “SuccorForce” )apart from lorries of load from other donars to the people there. Nearly more than 1500 families have been beneficiated. A doctor along with medicines went there and given the necessary treatment.
So,all our contribution went for the cause of right and needy people. Let’s all work with the same spirit and continue to do whatever whenever and wherever required.
    Thanking You,
