Activity010_Visit to Orphanage (AIDS affected children)

Hi Friends,
Good Day!
I am very happy to inform you that after several hurdles, we could be able to complete another event successfully.

Last Sunday, i.e. on 20th December 2009, we have made a visit to an orphanage which homes 10 AIDS affected children. Their parents were dead due to the same reason. Due to insufficient funds, the home is unable to provide shelter for more children. The founder of the organization is Mr.RajaReddy and his mobile number is 9849310191. I deliberately skipped mentioning the name of the organization and its location due to several social reasons. If anyone is interested in helping them, he/she can contact its founder directly.

Coming to the visit, Ranjit, Venkat, Anji and myself reached the home at about 10AM in the morning. Then our introduction with children was done. Later, we came to know about various talents in them. Mr.RajaReddy showed us the entire home, how they are maintaining it. A middle aged woman, whose husband has died due to AIDS was taking care of them with utmost dedication as its founder. She cooks the food for them and clean the home everyday. A degree studying girl take tuitions to tese children even on holidays if required. Mr.RajaReddy praises their dedication very much. Later, he showed us several medicines that are to be used by the children every day to survive healthy, so that their life span can be increased. Otherwise, they would die in a very short time. The medicines include B-Complex, Anti-biotics and several others. Every day, children are given Raagi malt along with PROTINEX. We came across different stories when we asked how those children reached the home.

The home would take government certified children who has HIV positive.

It is our duty to wish and encourage Mr,RajaReddy for taking up such a challenging task and serving the HIV +ve affected orphans.

Lets wish him all the best and help him a far as we can.

BestWishes,

Activity009_KurnoolConcern

Hi Friends,

Good Day!

A big heap of clothes were collected yesterday in MindSpace. They were transported to YGuda in an auto where we added another heap and took them to RamNagar.

He is Mr.SuryaNarayana, working in Bank of India and also the representative of RedCross, RaghvendraMath and Sai seva sadan.

There we have discussed with him how they would take the eatables to the victims.

They will buy rice and other commodities directly from the millers and when we calculated the prices, we found more than Rs900/- difference.

So, we officially donated Rs6000 /- for the purpose but today Mr V. NukaRaju, our member, will go along with them and buy the below mentioned commodities.

Also, remaining balance of Rs999/- is used to buy medicines to them. We will get the receipts from the organization for all these.

Raju is consulting a doctor to find what are the medicines need to be given.

Also, these people concentrate on the flood affected hamlets around Kurnool town since most of the help is being dumped in the town itself.

Thanks,
SunilDutt

Activity007_Donate Furniture to the School for Mentally Challenged

Dear Friends,

Good time! This time we need to visit Yamini Educational Society (Home for mentally retarded)

to make the children feel they have some relatives,

to give moral and possible support to its founders Mr.&Mrs. SrinivasaRao,

to muse for a while about such wretched persons and

to Thank God for letting us what we are now.

I have enquired about Yamini School stated below and found that they need some furniture. They actually search and bring and teach the mentally disabled children from the lower sections of the society (who cannot afford the schooling ). Here, teaching means, they teach these people to learn to identify who they are, whats their name, who are their parents, and other basics,I mean they teach them to identify fruits, veg etc. The founder of this school is a person who is a vegetable seller on a trolley, by occupation. He has got the mentally

Challenged daughter 23 years ago. Now her mental age is only 18 months. He was moved with her difficulty and decided to help such people who are in need.

Shortly, I'll visit it and discuss what they actually need. Last month this activity has been postponed due to lack of sufficient funds. But lets make it happen this time.

Activity003_Visit to an OldageHome

Friends,

I'm glad to inform you all that our third activity, visting to an oldage home is succesfully done on Sunday, 15th March,2009 in the evening.
Three homes have been checked for this purpose and finally one is finalized since it is service-oriented and not a paid home like the rest.
The home is Trinity Service Society, located at LBNagar ring road.
There are 20 old people, most of whom are abandoned. Some cannot even walk. They felt happy when we visited them. They do their work, they clean their surroundings. Some of them cook food for all. If anyone gets sick, they take them to the hospital and buy medicines within their limits.

They are all satisfied with the way they have been looking by. They call the president of the society, V.Rathna Wesley as AMMA. Its really great to start and maintain a oldage home purely for service. We need to encourage such people.
By the time we visited them, Rathna madam was not available. We found only those old people.
They gave the information about how the home runs etc. The house in which they are living rents Rs.10,000 per month. They faced problem in paying the rent for two months. Now its ok. What I want to bring to your notice is that we can donate even money to such homes, which will help them in their maintenance

They even told that they can accomodate 2 more persons.
Really its a privilege for all of us to help those people.
Seeing the smiling curves on thier wrinkled faces..... its an excellent experience.
